Lie in lush green grass,
And watch the clouds go by.
This could be the last time
We live a day like this.
Sit in a tight circle
With friends so close and true.
They’ll be gone tomorrow
The way things seem to go.
Laugh with true sincerity.
Smile, for all is well.
Soon there may not be a chance
To act so carelessly.
Hold onto naïve fantasies,
Let go of dignity,
For all too soon you’ll be grown up
In an unforgiving world.
Hold your loved one tightly,
Say everything you mean.
People come so quickly,
And they’ll just as quickly leave.
Nothing is forever,
So cherish what you have.
Love the things that now are here;
They’ll be gone with summertime.
Autumn-time brings back the truth,
Kills unrealistic dreams,
And with the mirth of summertime
Goes simple ecstasy.

I was sitting in Rachel's yard with Rachel and Paul and it was just....sad. We had a nice little (but bigger) group of friends that was really close...and everyone's drifted. Even Adam. And it was just so beautiful at her house...on the tree swing, with the sun coming through the trees...and to know that was probably my last free summer becaue next year I'll be sixteen and I'll have a job...: (
